One of the greatest joys and responsibilities of the Christian life is to stay close to God through Bible study, prayer, and worship. God has spoken to us through Scripture, which is His eternal, infallible, inerrant Word. When we open the Bible, we open our hearts to hear His voice, to be shaped by His wisdom, and strengthened by His promises. Scripture reminds us who God is, who we are in Christ, and how we are called to live in a world desperate for truth and light.
Daily prayer keeps us in continual fellowship with our heavenly Father. When we pray, we are not simply speaking into the air; we are entering the throne room of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Prayer aligns our will with God’s will (Matthew 6:10). It brings comfort in sorrow, courage in fear, and clarity in confusion. Prayer is where battles are fought and where victory is won.
Worship lifts our eyes above the struggles of life and fixes them on the goodness, holiness, and faithfulness of God. Worship is not confined to a sanctuary or a Sunday morning worship service. It’s a posture of the heart that gives God the honor that He deserves in every situation. When we worship daily, our hearts remain anchored in the truth that God is worthy of all glory, and that our lives are meant to reflect His greatness and glory.
Beginning January 4, 2026, we will journey through the Scriptures—from Genesis to Revelation—trusting God to use His Word to transform us day by day.
To support this journey, a daily devotion will be posted on my blog that corresponds with each day’s reading. These devotions will offer insight, encouragement, and application as we walk through God’s Word together. Whether you’ve read the Bible many times or are brand-new to this kind of study, you will discover fresh truth and renewed passion for the Lord. In the meantime, I plan to post a weekly devotion leading up to next year.
Let us commit now to a year of growth—opening our Bibles daily, lifting our voices in prayer, and worshiping the Lord with grateful hearts. The more we seek Him, the more we will see Him at work in us and through us.
